After my 20 mile, I thought for sure that I would not be able to walk. I thought I would be hobbling around the office, with that awkward bow legged strut. I thought I would be uncomfortable, strained, and sad.I am pleasantly surprised, and pleased to announce, that I had absolutely no issues, no pain, no tightness or tension. I almost think I didn't work hard enough.
I have been trying to keep to a 11:45 min/mile pace, with a 90 sec run / 30 sec walk, mainly because I think that is what I will need to do in order to sustain two back to back marathons. I am getting stronger, so I picked up the pace a little, and knocked out the walk, for tonight's 5 mile run. Ended up at 10:12 min / mile, kicked it up at the end, and think I could sustain that for longer. Looking forward to the 10 mile tomorrow night.
