Tomorrow is the New Hampshire Marathon. I haven't been writing here too much in the last six weeks - having traveled to 7 countries in two weeks, I have been distracted.Anyway, I did complete the 3 20-milers I planned. I tapered and ran just a few miles a few times a week over the last three weeks, and I think I am ready.
Well ready for the NH Marathon, anyway. Completing the Maine Marathon in Portland on Sunday might be difficult.
My race plan is to keep is slow and simple. 11:30 pace, keep is consistent. I would try faster, if I wasn't going for two in a row.
I am in the hotel in Gilford now, ready for bed, and getting some sleep. Have a nice turkey sub for my morning meal, with Blue Powerade, and two chocolate milks for post race recovery.
We'll have to jump right into the car and head to Portland as soon as we are finished - have to pick up the packets on Saturday night, so we can start in the early start.
I am excited and ready!
