Anyway, since I have been travelling to CA for over a year, the expenses my company pays for me became taxable. That is suppose to be "not a problem" because I'd get paid a "tax assistance" payment. Well, I am not sure that's the whole story. So far, I have had one paycheck "withheld" and it looks like one more will be as well. That takes quite a bite out of the whole living life thing.
To make matters worse, I have not seen a used bike on ebay or craigslist for the last month or two. That's an issue too. Long story short, looks like I will miss the "by my birthday" goal to have a bike. That kinda makes me sad..
I guess the good news is that I don't need to start training until December, but I think by then it will be kinda cold. Not undoable, but cold.
Things on my to-do list:
- sign up for Green Mountain
- sign up for Disney (important, the Team in Training folks will be signing up!)
- figure out the finances!
Started back on the ELMO eating today.. stocked up the fridge with good foods! Had a bananna, an orange, strawberries, blueberries, almonds, cucumber, snow peas, carrots, and a marinated chicken breast during the day, then the rest of the prime rib (this was off-plan, but left over and yummy!) Going to try to see what I can get off in the next 10 weeks, before I go back to Vermont.
