Packet Pickup ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ With a sold-out field we need to make sure that all runners are properly registered with signed waivers and matching bib numbers with timing chip. Packets are orgainzed by bib number so it is important that you know your bib # in order to pick up your packet. Please refer to link at the bottom of this page (also on the website) to find your corresponding bib number. We will also have a list of bib numbers arranged by last name alphabetically at the expos at the entrance.
When you come to pickup your packet please bring your ID and preferably your confirmation email, expecially if you are picking up your packet for another runner. An email from that runner with authorization to you will also suffice. If you lost your email confirmation you may download it from the link below. If you are registered but are not able to run and have someone to take your place they must have authoization email from you and fill out a transfer form/waiver and pay $20 by check to Destination Races or credit card (plus processing fee) at the packet pickup/expo. Forms are available at the expos. We strongly recommend that you pick up your packet at the race expo or packet pickup. If you are unable to pickup on Friday and Saturday you should have paid $8 in advance for late pickup. If not, you must bring a check for $8 made out to Destination Races to the start area between 5:30am and 6:30am.

Course Information ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ For complete course information including a new course map with elevation please go to the website and click on race info and the corresponding links. Here are a few items of note.
Hydration Our first priority on race day is keeping runners safe and hydrated. There are now seven aid stations on course. Each aid station carries water and even-numbered stations (#2, #4, #6) will also have Gatorade. No gel is provided on course due so bring your own if you wish but please dispose of them properly at an aid station trash bin. At the finish you will receive plenty of locally produced food and beverage items including Vella cheese, Artisan Bakery goods, Clover yogurt, fruit and other snacks plus Vitaminwater, Naked Juice, FRS drink, water and of course, wine and beer! Burn some calories!
Medical Support Sonoma Fire-Med and Red Cross will be positioned at the finish area. Sonoma Fire-Med is a mobile unit which can respond to medical emergency. Over 100 volunteers will serve as course monitors, aid station support and traffic control. If you are experiencing a health problem please notify the closest course monitor or aid station for assistance. There will also be a SAG vehicle and CHP at the back of the course keeping a 15 minute per mile pace. Porta-Potties Over 70 portable restrooms will be positioned throughout the course. These areas include the Sonoma transportation area at Adele Harrison, the start area (40), and at each aid station on course, plus the finish areas for the 12k and half marathon. Some additional porta-potties may be found alongside the road next to the vineyards. Feel free to use any unlocked unit.
HWY 121 crossing and Broadway Our course requires a busy intersection of Hwy 121 just after the 12k Finish. CHP will patrol the intersection and allow cars through at various intervals. Occasionally at peak times runners will be asked to stop for a brief period of time. If you are asked to stop please do so immediately without question for everyones safety. There are port-potties and an aid station located nearby. The final half mile of the course runs down Broadway into Sonoma Plaza for one of the great finishes in road racing. Take caution on Broadway as the road is very rough in spots. Caltrans has scheduled for repaving after the race.

Parking and Transportation ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Please check the race info page for more information and a map with parking, transportation and viewing spots. Buses to the start run from 5:10am to 6:20am from two locations. Please arrive early for the buses to avoid lines and potentially missing the start time. Most buses leave from Adele Harrison Middle School in Sonoma next to Sonoma Valley High School at 20000 Broadway. Parking is available on-site. Buses also transport runners from the Best Western Inn at the Vines in Napa on Soscol Ave. at Imola. You may park in the mall located across the street. There is absolutely NO PARKING at the start area and there is a NEW drop-off spot for runners in vehicles. The area is located just past Duhig Rd. on the south side of Hwy 121. Cars must pull over off the road onto the area next to the vineyards to drop runners who can walk back along the shoulder .2 miles to Duhig Rd. Vehicles must proceed to the next intersection if turning around to Sonoma. Cars are not allowed on Duhig and Ramal Rd. during the race. The best viewing spot is the final half mile of the course down Broadway into Sonoma Plaza. Relax, have some breakfast and prepare for the first runner to arrive shortly after 8:00am.
