Wow, the weather has been so hot this week; over a hundred every day. Made it hard to get out and run, but I managed to get two days of 9 miles in. I think that's pretty good, considering I couldn't really get out and started until after 8:30 pm (since I can't get my butt out of bed to run in the morning!)
My 9 mile course is pretty good. It's a good mix of trail and road, with along the canal and fields. I had thought about trying to get in 11 tonight, but after a full day, it's difficult. Ever since I went on vacation, I have been having a hard time just sticking to my plan, too.

Listened to
Scott McClellan on both
Fresh Air (with Terri Gross) and
Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me course plugging his book about his time in the Bush administration,
What Really Happened. It is so disheartening what has happened over the last eight years. We have a chance to change so much this election year. Our founding fathers had incredible foresight in limiting the presidential term to four years, and I am sill amazed that we didn't correct things in 2004. Regardless, impeachment is there for a reason, and I do believe
high crimes and misdemeanors have occured.
It is time for some new sneakers - have over 300 miles on these ones. Only 6 weeks to the San Francisco Marathon, so have to get them soon if I am going to.
On to 23 miles this weekend! Might be difficult given that I missed the 20, but I have 18 under my belt this week, so I think I can make it...
