After Sunday, I've had a bit of a cramp in my right calf; nothing too bad. I think it's the new shoes, and the fact that I skipped out on an over-the-counter orthotic. Still might get one, but I've not been able to find one that is firm enough. They all seem to be too flimsy.
Anyway, was able to get through 1.5 miles at my target 10:30 pace, but the next .5 mile really brought me down. I had forgot I set up my Nike + goal to be under 10:30, so ended up at 10:38. That is still 4:38 marathon pace, if I can train to maintain. I'd be happy with that. Actually, anything under 5 would be great.
Love the Nike+ stuff. Highly recommended so far.
