
I completed my first "wicked long" run last night, on the treadmill, even. Nineteen miles, and I honestly felt good at the end, and have no issues in my legs today at all. Even my calves are completely stretched out.
I was impressed with my time as well - 11:32 / mile! I know that's not very impressive for most, but I have not been at that kind of time lately. I did it though intensive intervals - 90 sec run at 5.5 mph, then 30 sec walk at 4.5 mph. I started out with a 6.5 all out run for 30 sec in the middle of the run segment, but I didn't think I could sustain it.
Overall, I burned 2,794 calories, and had consumed maybe 700 throughout the day up to that point, so I enjoyed a chocolate milk and a Burger King double cheeseburger (no bun) at the end. I know, kinda naughty, but highly enjoyable.
