I started with the map from MapMyRun.com for a 7 mile run. After driving around for a bit, and getting a little lost, I finally found
<- Starling Drive. A nice little street; so quiet and peaceful. Baseball diamonds are just out in the distance, you think you're in the '50s, and Wally and the Beev will be passing through on their bikes at any moment.
At mile 1, I passed this city building ->
I was heading down Celebration Blvd, a nice long stretch running parallel to Interstate 4. It is separated enough that you don't really know the interstate is there - that would take away the magic. The run the rest of the way down Celebration Blvd was lined with these huge palm trees.
It was so hot, I was feeling a little queasy. I hadn't eaten enough, and know I didn't get enough water. The humidity down here is totally different than I am use to. I took a little liberty with the walk breaks, but kept on keeping on.
Turning off Celebration Blvd., by a small pond, there were two black pelican-like birds hanging out. From the pond, I entered a very nicely constructed walkway through the trees. I chased a squirrel; he ran up a tree.
The walkway came out into a field, and I started seeing buildings again. I got a little lost and think I got off the map at this point., and missedthe entire aqautics section from the map. I headed down Celebration Drive, until I hit Wisteria Lane. I looked for the desparate housewives (ok, for Jesse Metcalfe) but found nothing. Anyway, that was my five mile run... yeah, I slacked off from 7... but was a good run anyway!
