Well, I am at 188 - down 5.6 pounds since December 2. So that makes me happy.
Now, here come the holidays. I read that the average person gains 10 pounds over the season. The good news is that the season runs from Thanksgiving to New Years
, so technically, I am halfway home.
My main goal was to never never never hit the 200 mark. I had done the quick math of 193 where I was plus the 10 seasonal gain and I think that is what scared the shit out of me - and made me realize just out of control things were.
I have followed my diet pretty rigorously. And to be truthful, I feel better and (I am embarressed to say) I look forward to things like a handful of almonds. I gave myself a treat the other day - a little bag of Doritos. I didn't enjoy them as much as I thought I would. I thought - what a waste of 200 calories!
Now, we go into this holiday season and I will be on the road and at others homes the whole time. It's going to be a little difficult. It's really only a week, so that is positive.
Right now I have a little container with green beans, strawberries, some cheese, hard boiled eggs, and brocolli (it's only a small container with a little of each - cleaned out the fridge before leaving :) I actually would rather have that than fast food.
BUT my official cheat day (one every week and a half) is coming up. That will be nice too. Or maybe I spread it out over the week :)
