Ironman Championships

Watching the Ironman Championships sparked my energy. I went out and walked about 7 miles. Yeah, I know, I am back to walking, but I felt that was the right thing to do, to get my legs working again.




I was looking at the 40 - 44 age range, and there's quite a group there. I am not sure I will ever be able to get in the Top 50, but I do know now that it's not impossible for me to complete as I get older. I could, realistically, complete my first Ironman before I am 40, but not if I don't try.





Chris McCormack About Chris - I was a bit taken aback that Chris is my age. He obviously is in so much better shape than I, and has been in the sport for a while, but it still shows that I am in the realm of possibility to complete this event. I figured the winner would be some 20 year old speed demon.

I just hope my stomach looks like his when I get to that point!

I am going to work this. I am going to make this happen.
